Guyra Show 2022 - Wood Chopping

01st Mar 2022

The weather was kind to us again this year for the wood chopping events at the 2022 Guyra Show. The event surpassed last year’s success with twenty one axemen travelling from as far as Queensland in the north and Murrurundi to the south, and from Grafton to Kempsey on the coast.
A great day was had by all, with our sportsmen and women putting on a great display of their skills. The bleachers were full for every event, and we sincerely thank our sponsors for their generosity sponsorship.
A thank you to Chris Sole Taxation for providing the shirts for the stewards and ring crew and to the bush crew, Michael Shipman, Luke Newberry, Graeme and Jordan Peterson, for their tireless efforts to provide the blocks (a long, dirty and dusty tiring weekend) every year. Thanks also to the Guyra Hotel for providing accommodation for the travelling bush crew and lastly to the axemen for supporting our event.
