Junior Soccer
The under 6 Caspers had a fantastic game against TAS on Saturday. They each demonstrated great teamwork and sportsmanship. Our teams ball skills and confidence has improved with each week. A big congratulations to Oscar, Fletcher, Frazer, Jack and Quinn on an outstanding game.
The under 6 Spooks took on the North’s United Red Jets. With a player away, we had Fletcher, Frazer, and Oscar back straight up after their game to play for us. Hugo ran the ball well while Anna, Clark, and Ebonee were great on defence. Thank you to the three boys for stepping up to help us out.
The Under 7 Spooks played DK Shields in a back and forth game Haidee played well in defence Willow, Eli, Sterling and Thomas played great games Vinnie and Axel scoring our goals.
The under 8s had the bye this weekend but have been training very strong and are excited to get back into playing next weekend.
Under 10 tigers took on Easts in Armidale this week. In a back and forth game Guyra fought hard but some good finishing by Easts saw them go down 7-4. Our goal scores were Aiden and Noah Chapman. Cruz and Matthew also scored. Chaise had a good game in the backs and had good support from Grace, Katie, Ruby and Luca.
The under 12s played a TAS side that was never really excited about the game, this resulted in a high scoring game of 18 to 1 in favour to Guyra. I was excited for seven different goal scorers, some getting their first goals for the season, however warned the side not to relax as they take in one on the ladder leading teams next Saturday.

Guyra were at home on Saturday with both teams fielding full sides. They were looking to finish a tough season on a high in the few rounds that remain.
The 4th grade side kicked off the day looking to back up the win from the week before. The Souths team were a very different undertaking with experience on the Souths side, showing the Guyra side how to play. The play wasn’t all one way and Guyra held their own throughout much of the game with Tom L putting away a penalty in the first half to keep Guyra in it at 1 all.
The second half saw an individual effort from a premier league South player to take the score to 2 to 1. The Guyra team showed a lot of heart that has seen them remain in games all season, however Souths finished strong going on the take the game with another goal.
The 3rd  grade side took the field against a much more youthful south side again pressing hard in what was a physical and mental encounter.
A goal to Rob S levelled the game up at 1 all and it was anyone’s for the taking. The south side capitalised on some poor passing and control from the Guyra team and were able to take and maintain the lead, walking away with the victory.
