The Super Spuds have a new look ahead of this Saturday’s first big event of 2020.
The Spuds will join the Guyra Hockey Club and Guyra United Soccer Club in launching the winter sports season this Saturday at the community hall.
The party starts at 6pm with dinner, bar, prizes, live music by visiting band Fugarwie and a raffle in aid of the Hope family.
Raffle prizes include two nights accommodation at Dolphin Bay Resort at Yamba, a fridge donated by CT Electric and a Super Spuds jersey.
Raffle tickets are $5 or three for $10 and are available at the Guyra Café, Fourways, the Royal Hotel and on the night.
There is also a lucky door prize of a Gold Coast Titans jersey.
Anyone who missed out on tickets for the night but would like to attend will be admitted for $10 at the door after 8pm.
Meanwhile the Spuds have chosen Tommy Cleaver as men's captain for 2020, Britt Youman returns as skipper of the women’s leaguetag team and Jack Armatage will lead the under 18s.
They will sport a new kit design, which will debut in trial matches on March 28 against the Old Bar Pirates at Old Bar.
Training continues every Tuesday and Thursday.
