Vets Golf
On Tuesday the 21st, we played a stableford event plus putts. John Prisk has continued his great form scoring a great 39 points to come in the winner. Ian Taylor had 36 points and runner up. The best putter was Pat Grills, with nearest the pins going to Mick Jackson, Ian Taylor and Jon Cumming.
The following day a few Vets rolled up to the course for a working bee. Heaps of work was done, and our greenkeeper Shane Brennan asked me to express his appreciation to you all for your efforts.
Then on Thursday 19th, Vets travelled to Glen Innes for the second round of the pennants. Our lady vets contributed hugely to our success and four of their scores were recorded in our win. Donna White was ladies winner on the day with a fabulous 38 points and also got a nearest the pin. Wendy George and Wendy Jackson were runners up on a count back to Kerry Bull. The best for the fellas was Col Walls on 35 runner up in B grade and Jim Betts got a nearest the pin.
Ray Sweeney also contributed with a very handy 35. Glen won the day but Guyra still holds a very slender lead of seven points. Next week is our two day Guyra Open with the 4BBB on Monday and the individual on Tuesday.

Ladies’ Golf
Last week the Ladies played a Stableford. Kerry Bull was the sponsor for the day. The winner was Vicki Reeves on a countback from runner up Pip White. Wendy George was very impressive in winning all the Nearest the Pin shots for the day.
This week the ladies are playing in the Keno Lets Play Ambrose Qualifier. Next week is an Individual Stableford along with the 2nd Graham Betts Round. Donna White is the starter.
