Spuds clash for the VRA

Saturday’s big clash at the New Red Hill is also a chance to support one of Guyra’s most iconic community organisations.
The Super Spuds will be wearing a special uniform against Inverell for the club’s Footy Fundraiser, followed by a jersey auction at the Royal Hotel.
The fundraiser is in support of the Guyra Volunteer Rescue Association and the uniform features VRA-inspired green and white chequered stripes.
These will be up for auction at the pub with bids taken on each of 20 match-won jerseys.
The proceeds will go to help the VRA conduct its valuable role in the community.
The last time Guyra faced the Hawks, the Spuds produced their best performance of the season and the game ended in a remarkable 34-all draw.
Kickoff in the leaguetag will be 1pm with the men to follow at about 2.15pm.
The bar and canteen will be open and raffles run.
Covid rules apply, which means masks must be worn and spectators need to sign in at the gate.
