Hockey
Under 10s had a tough game in defence this week going up against TAS. Isla’s improved skill produced the team’s goal for the game and our new recruit Jaron had his eye in with some great tackling. A tough game team but keep up the enthusiasm.
2nd Grade Women
Second Grade took on Breakaways on Saturday. It was always going to be a tough contest, with an unseasonably warm day and no subs available. Both teams created attacking opportunities throughout the game, but neither side could score. With the match headed for a draw, the Breakaways snatched a late winner in the final 40 seconds, scoring from a somewhat questionable short corner. A few notable moments from the Guyra defence had the team in stitches and shock but despite the score, it was a good game.
The Under 12s and 3rd grade weren’t scheduled to play on a bye
