Senior Hockey
Second grade faced off with a very young, fit and drilled TAS team on Saturday. The opportunities were there, but we just couldn’t get a score on the board.
Poppy Post shut down her school mates in the mids, and made their defence work hard. The game was made interesting with a penalty stroke caused by Maz - we had full faith in our GK, Carla who kept the score as 0-0 right to the end.
Third grade took on Harlies, just being defeated 1-nil. It was a great game and both teams showed strong defence and attack with the game moving from one end to the other, constantly with many chances had by both teams.
Guyra connected many shots on goal either being saved by the goalie or hitting the posts but unfortunately not finding the back of the goal.
Harlies snuck through with a goal due to some miscommunication on a short corner which 3rd grade are again showing their enjoyment for many short corners, but rest assured when Jenny hears the word go she is ready to go.
While it was a loss there were still many great improvements and great teamwork on show showing the growth and strength of this team as they go into the 2026 season.

Junior Hockey
The junior hockey teams took an exciting step forward this week as both age groups adapted to new formats.
The Under 10s played their first match on a half field. It was fantastic to welcome new players Will and Dallas, who quickly got involved. The increased space demanded plenty of running, but the team rose to the challenge, with all players contributing to an enjoyable game. Despite going down 5-0, the scoreline was no reflection of the team’s effort.
Meanwhile, the Under 12s faced their own milestone, taking to a full field for the first time. While adjusting to the larger playing area will take some time, the team showed strong effort and commitment throughout. Clancy Robinson provided stability through the middle, while Casey and Arlie worked hard to drive the ball forward. In defence, Will and Charles stood firm under pressure.
Encouragingly, the team demonstrated a willingness to learn and apply positional play, and it will be exciting to watch their progress as they build confidence in the weeks ahead.
