Ladies Golf
Lovely warm Spring weather, with a nice downpour after we finished for the 2026 Associates Cup sponsored by Neil & June Paine. Twelve players contested the Canadian Foursomes event, Wendy Jackson and Jenny Rogers won the day from Belinda Lenehan and Suzanne Towells. NTP’s Wendy George on the 7th & 9th - today’s Victors on the 18th.
Great to see the excavator and trucks working on cleaning out a large water hole. The golfers appreciate any of this ongoing maintenance work to keep our course at its best. Well done to all involved.
Missed report last week for the Stableford on the 16th September. Deb Heffernan produced a lovely round to win with 39 points from Wendy George - 36 on a countback from Belinda Lenehan. NTP’s Wendy Jackson on the 9th & Deb Heffernan on the 18th.
Most of the girls have gone to Warialda today – Stableford for those left behind, next Wednesday, 7th October is a Par Medal. Time to select your partners for the Guyra Welding Works 4BBB Championships on Wednesday the 14th October.

Vets Golf
Last Tuesday we had 14 players take part in a two person Ambrose. Two players also took part in the Inverell open and although recording great scores were unlucky to miss out on the placings. The Ambrose winners were Tex Varley and Mick Jackson to runners up Peter Tough and Mick Cox. Just the two NTPs claimed and Col Walls got them both. Next week is a stroke event.

Results from the weekend: C Peardon defeated M Simpson 16 to 9, C Kliendienst 17 defeated D Wilcox 12, M Walls 18 defeated S Brennan 17.
Games this Sunday October 4th starting at 10.30 am. Box draw pairs with $200 prize money, casual dress.
Saturday October 10th will be club pairs: S Campbell and G Starr verse C Kliendienst and R Walls, M Walls and L Beechey verse R Moore and P Johnson, J Varco and A Bull verse D Kennedy and B Walls.
Nominations for club singles and triples close October 10th.
