Ladies’ Golf
Last week the Ladies played a Par Medal. A field of 13 played in perfect sunny weather. The winner was Jenni Jackson. Jenni won on a countback from Wendy George. Kerry Bull won 3 of the nearest the pins. Wendy Jackson won the nearest the pin on the 18th hole.
This week is a Graham Betts Round. Next week is the 1st Golf NSW Medal Round with a stroke and putting competition.

Vets Golf
Last Tuesday saw our 4BBB Stableford event and a brilliant score of 49 points was scored by Wayne Archibald and Robert Moore to record the win. Coming in second on a three way countback was Ian Taylor and Paul Redden for the runner up prize. NTPs went to Phil Devlin, Mick Jackson and Greg Constantine.  21 players was a great field for our Tuesday golf members. Next week is our stroke event.

Men’s Bowls
Matches set down for Saturday, January 31st. The Final Club Pairs will see S. Campbell and R. Cox take on R. Moore and P. Johnson.
In the Major/Minor Pairs, C. Stanley and G. Mitchell will face A. Bull and J. Varco.
Members are advised there will be a bowls meeting on Sunday, February 1st at 10.00am. The meeting will be held to elect new pennant selectors and the match committee, and will also include presentations. All members are encouraged to attend.
The pennant season will commence on 17 February.
The Sole family would also like to sincerely thank everyone who helped make the Steven Sole Memorial Fours a great success. Your support and assistance were very much appreciated.

Sunday Golf
We have a very busy couple of months coming up for golf. This weekend is a club 4bbb stableford event. Then on the 8th of February is the mixed 4bbb championships.
The 15th of February is the final round of the Shire Cup with 14 individual matchplay matches to be played. Then the following weekend, 21st and 22nd of February are the first two rounds of the men’s championships.
On Friday the 13th of February will be the Golf Presentation held at the Guyra Bowling Club.
The cost will be $35 this includes a roast dinner and the chance to win a free golf membership for the upcoming season.
Awards for the winners for the main competitions of the past year and also the midweek competition to be presented on the night with entertainment provided by local talent Shane Garrett so come along for a great night.
Tickets to be purchased from the Bowling Club before the 10th of February.
