Under 9s wrap up the year with good win over Moree

03rd Aug 2021

In Junior Rugby League the Super Spuds travelled to Moree on what was a polar opposite in weather conditions to a week ago, being a comfortable 20 plus degrees. In the final round of the season the under 9s played in what was undoubtedly their biggest and hardest game of the year, against a very physical and talented Moree side.
Moree scored two quick tries to put the score at 10 – 0. Guyra responded with solid runs from all over the field matching Moree with a very solid try from Flynn Mcfarlane in what was the first of six tries for Flynn. All the boys played their hearts out. Seth Patterson’s individual try was also a standout, managing to evade and out class the whole Moree side.
Guyra came away with a win 30 - 24. After a very strong season, it was a gutsy effort by the whole under 9s team with each and every player playing their best game yet and I couldn’t have been more happier and prouder of their performance.
What a great year!
