Soccer celebrates with awards

In our final report for the 2019 Soccer season we would like to thank everyone that helped make this season great. It is not just the committee, coaches and players that make a season successful. We thank the families and the community as a whole for their support this year.
We wish to thank all of the business houses and individuals that donated to our raffles and fundraising events throughout the year. The Ovarian Cancer and Darryl Dowden Fundraisers were amazing and they would not have been possible without your support. We greatly appreciate everyone that donated and bought wood, bought tickets, attended the auction etc.
We also wish to thank our helpers on Presentation Day: Mitchell Hope and Barry Presnell on the BBQ and Barry Lockyer for serving; Bailie Rolff for her amazing face painting; Natasha Saunders for her photography and President Adam Brennan for being MC for the day. Adam has done a brilliant job this season despite spending most of it injured and his leadership has made for a strong committee. Thank you Adam.
We would also like to celebrate our award winners for this season. Congratulations to you and we look forward to seeing you all again next season:
Just a reminder that all jerseys (new and old) need to be returned to the GUSC as soon as possible. Jerseys can be left at Dasha’s Hardware during the school holidays, or dropped to the Guyra Central School Canteen or St Marys Office as soon as school returns. Players will be invoiced for the replacement cost of any jerseys not returned.
And finally, in preparation for an exciting 2020 season, please note the following dates: Registrations Open 1st February; Season Launch 4th April; Games kick off on 2nd of May. We look forward to another great year of soccer in 2020. See you all on the sideline!
