The Super Spuds kick off their Group 19 season this Saturday at the New Red Hill with three grades for the first time since 2012 and a new look for the day.
The A grade side will wear special uniforms in support of the Guyra branch of the NSW Volunteer Rescue Association (VRA) when they clash with Tingha in the main game.
The VRA-inspired jerseys will then go up for auction at the Guyra Bowling Club on Saturday night with all proceeds going to the Guyra VRA.
“We are pleased to be able to support such a valuable Guyra community organisation,” club president Grant Robertson said.
“Hopefully lots of people will bid for the jerseys and we’ll raise a lot of cash.
“It should be a huge day with three games against one of our oldest rivals, including the under 18s in their return to competitive football.”
Guyra has not faced Tingha in senior league since 2016 and the Tigers will bring three strong teams on Saturday.
The first of three games kicks off at 12 noon with the A grade to start at about 2.30pm.
The VRA will have a display at the ground, there will be raffles and footy doubles and the bar and canteen will be open.
Player presentations, more raffles and the jersey auction will all take place at the bowling club from about 5.30pm.
People can pre-bid for the jerseys by messaging the club Facebook page or by calling or texting 0422 686 066 no later than Friday night.
There are 20 jerseys up for grabs.
