League Tag Girls:
The Junior League Tag girls had a great game against Warialda winning 20–6.
Rashlah Torrens has the speed to run around the defence and got two tries. Tallara Patterson turns up each week to play footy and to just have some fun. The team’s skills are improving each week and they are really working well as a team.
Intermediate League Tag girls showed great sportsmanship on the weekend. The Guyra girls lent Warialda players to create a game, with both teams enjoying playing football for fun.
The Warialda club personally thanked the Guyra ILT players and coach for keeping in the spirit of the game and just playing footy.
The Little Chats:
The Under 6’s came full of energy to play football. Kane Jones gives it his all running the football, and this determination got a try in the corner.
Paityn Orchard and Aniya Patterson have a lot of fun on the field and their tagging skills are awesome, never giving up till they have the tag.
The Under 8’s took to the field to show Warialda what they had. In a high scoring game, most of the Guyra team crossed the line for a try.
Jack Newberry was lucky to score three tries and kick three goals. Nicholas Hutton was in on the action tackling well and scoring a try.
Keep up the great work Under 8’s.
The Under 10’s in the sheds before the game were excited to receive a video message from NSW Rugby League Player, Latrell Mitchell, wishing them luck and to play as a team.
Ryland Wilson played some good footy and scoring a try. Kobi Wilson was the team captain on the weekend and led the side to a 52–18 win.
The passionate Under 12’s ran out on the field ready to play some good footy. Always playing as a team and backing each other up from start to finish is great to watch.
Through some great read in defence and attacking speed, Hugo Sisson broke the line many times earning himself three tries for the game.
Flyn Byers tackled consistently, and Baxter Clark ran the ball up the middle.
This game was intense, and some great football was played by both teams. Guyra held the top of the table Warialda team to a 22-all draw. Great effort Under 12’s.
The mighty Under 14’s:
There was a buzz in the air at the footy fields for the Under 14’s team. The boys and their coach put in some hard work during the week at training and stayed positive, knowing they had the skills and determination.
With two new players joining the team this gave more confidence to the boys. The Guyra defensive line was strong all game moving off the line to meet the attack and having great tackling technique.
Everyone put in 100% on the field backing each other from start to finish. This hard work and commitment finally paid off and they dominated their opposition to win 20–8.
Being the main game of the day, the Under 14’s team rose to the occasion and showed everyone what Guyra is made of. The Club song was sung loud and proud.
Go the Spuds!
