Ladies’ Golf
Last week a few ladies played in the Warialda Open. The Guyra girls had a highly successful day.
Jenny Rogers and Pip White were the winners with 44 points. Wendy Jackson and Nancy Prisk won the first consolation prize with 40 points. Leonie Taylor and Debbie Heffernan won the front nine score. We also came home with several raffle wins as well.
This week is a 4BBB Stableford. Next week is a Par Medal. Debbie Burey is the starter and the sponsor.

Vets Golf
Seven Vets enjoyed the ever-improving course last Tuesday. The greens are in great shape considering the weather, much better than some other courses in our district. Rain continues to make golf difficult for all courses with other Clubs banning carts all together.
The Vets played an Individual stableford counting putts. David Bearup had a blinder and is sure to lose some shots. He had no problem with the wet course scoring 39 points. He also enjoyed the greens, only having 27 putts. I’m sure this will bring him back next week.
Chris Newberry also had a good day coming runner up with 36 points and nearest the pins on both the 7th and 18th holes. The other nearest the pin on the 10th went to Tex Varley.
This Tuesday three teams will be travelling to Inverell to play in the New England 4 Ball. Walcha is running their Open Stableford on October 14, let me know if you would like to play. Let’s hope we are in a fine run of weather.
Don’t forget our AGM next Tuesday the 4th.
