Richardson shines in Alaska with Pacific Nomads

Ashleigh Richardson was part of the Pacific Nomads team who where victorius in the Midnight Sun Sevens tournament which was played in Anchorage, Alaska last week.

Guyra’s Ashleigh Richardson continues her rise in the rugby union ranks, starring for the
Pacific Nomads in their undefeated run at the Midnight Sun Sevens tournament in Anchorage, Alaska last week.
The Nomads were unstoppable throughout the competition, claiming the overall cup with a string of commanding performances. They secured victories of 29–10, 46–0, 21–14, and 48–0 on their way to the grand final, where they triumphed 38–4. It was a fantastic result for the team and a personal milestone for Richardson.
Ashleigh’s standout performances in Alaska follow a strong showing at the Country Championships in Tamworth, where she represented the New England Lions. Her efforts earned her a place in the prestigious Country Corellas squad – an impressive achievement for someone in just their second season of rugby union.
A former junior soccer player for Guyra and League Tag player with the Guyra Super Spuds, Ashleigh switched to rugby union after the Spuds exited the Group 19 competition in 2024. She is now in her second year playing for the Glen Innes Elks and continues to achieve at at high level.
