Men’s Bowls
Saturday November 7th saw two Club Championship games played.
In Club Fours Col Stanley, (Sub) Michael Shiner, Greg Mitchell and Grahame Starr played Steven Sole, Mallie Walls, Evan Sole and Andrew Sparke. In this game the scores after 6 ends were level at 9 shots that was the closest that Col and his team got to Steven and his team. Col and his team remained competitive but were unable to hold the shots when it counted and as a result Steven and his team went on to take the win 29 shots to 19 shots over 21 ends.
The other game also a Club Fours game: John McIlwain, (Sub) David Wilcox, Cameron Peardon and Roger Cox played John Jackson, Murray Bourke, Paul Johnson and Robert Walls. John Jackson and his team opened a small lead by end 4 and managed to build on it by end 8. John McIlwain and his team managed to narrow the lead by end 15 to only 4 shots, a lapse in concentration saw John McIlwain score 6 shots on end 16 John Jackson and team clawed back the lead but it was not enough and John McIlwain and his team took victory 20 shots to 17 shots over 21 ends.

Handicap Singles: Andrew Sparke to play Wayne Reeves marker Barry Walls.
Major/Minor Pairs: Dan Kennedy and Grahame Starr to play Steven Sole and Robert Walls.
As we are now getting down to the pointy end of 2019/2020 competition all games are play or FORFEIT Match Committee.

Ladies Bowls
The Lady Bowlers were happy to be able to travel away after such a long wait. Three teams travelled to Uralla to attend Uralla’s 70th Birthday Celebrations, a very enjoyable outing. Social Bowls played on Tuesdays and new member very welcome.

Men’s Golf
On Sunday an 18 hole stableford was played for the Grazag Trophy. The winner with 36 points was Darrin Towells, with Chris Newberry runner up. Nearest to the pins were Richard Burey on the 7th and 10th and Barry Simpson on the 18th.
Next weekend will be the Guyra Sixes, keep an eye on your emails for tee times and rules. Sunday 22nd November will be the Brian Lennon Memorial 2 person ambrose - Dasha always puts on a good day so why not spend it with him.

Midweek golf
Four weeks of golf and everyone is getting into the swing of playing every week again. Neil Paine took out the honours this week with a top score of 25 points. Well done. Next in line is one of our most recent players Lisa Ellis with 24 and also with 24 is Ian Brown. On 22 points we have Robert Moore then on 21 points were David Brown and Leonie Taylor. In the 20 score bracket we have Taylor Brennan, Dan Lennon, Derek Smith, Debbie Burey and Richard Burey.
Four teams this week get extra points for all team members playing.
Team and individual scores are quite close and we will publish half-time updates of scores when we have our Christmas break.
A total of 51 players put their score cards in. Keep up the good work.
