Vets Golf
The snow was the next level. Very pretty and very deep. Unfortunately though it has caused havoc with heaps of damage and our golf course, along with most other golf courses in our district, have been forced to close.
Whilst most are now up and running again it seems it will be quite some time before Guyra dries out enough and the dangerous trees tidied up enough for us to get back to playing.
Our vets are still playing though and last week a group of eight of us travelled to Glen Innes for a game. The vets up there made us very welcome and invited us back anytime we want. Col Walls was the best from Guyra with Jon Cumming coming in second. We will try and play somewhere every week until Guyra is open, so if you want a game just let Wal or I know and we will get it organised. Tim Murray from Armidale has said we are very welcome down there anytime.
Next Tuesday the 26th we are off to Inverell for their open day.

Ladies’ Golf
With the course still closed a few ladies went up to play at Glen Innes last week.
Tina Skipper had a very impressive game with 66 Nett.
Tina has the best score from both clubs.
Well done Tina!
Leonie Taylor was the runner up.
Nearest the pin winners were
Wendy George, Belinda Lenehan and Leonie Taylor.
It was nice to get a game of golf after a few weeks of wet weather.
Hopefully, our course will be playable again soon.
