Vets Golf
Last Tuesday was our stroke event and congratulations to Ray Sweeney on his magnificent win.  Ray had a brilliant score of 64 nett to completely blitz the rest of the field. Mick Cox had nett 71 that would be a winning score most days. Robert Moore was gross winner and NTPs went to Colin Mulligan, Phil Devlin and Jon Cumming.
On Thursday we travelled to Walcha to contest the district pennants. Walcha had a record score to be very comfortable winners and although just two strokes separated the next three placings we came in fourth. Dave Bearup was the only individual winner in Walcha getting runner up in C grade. We are now sitting in last spot but if we can pull off a win on our home course next week we are right back in it. Go Guyra.
In other exciting news, Wal has got miscore up and running. This is a phone app that enables you to score from your phone and the results go straight into the system. Amazingly easy to use and minimises the massive job for scorers especially after big days. This is by no means compulsory and the card system will always be there. If you decide to go ahead and do it and need help setting up Wal or I are happy to assist.
