Ladies put up brave fight
against Breakaways
This game had it all — penalty corners, a green card, and even a penalty stroke — as the Guyra Ladies faced the formidable Breakaways side. Despite being down to just 10 players, the Guyra team delivered a truly impressive performance.
Bern Jackson was outstanding in goals, saving shot after shot with composure and skill. At the back, Jenni Jackson not only stood firm in defence but also managed to get on the scoreboard herself. The pressure was relentless, but Emma Ellis provided a calming presence, helping to stabilise the defence and ease the load.
Although the final score was 4-0, it marked a significant improvement from the last time these two teams met — a testament to the determination, teamwork, and spirit of the Guyra Ladies.
