Large field for memorial day

25th Nov 2025

On Sunday a large field took part in the Brian Lennon Memorial two person Ambrose.
With the morning starting off very windy it looked like conditions would be tough for scoring, but the day improved and scoring became a little bit easier. The scores were close and competitive with all teams performing well.
Winners for the day were:
Gross winners - Steve Wilson and Steve Kliendienst with 70
Gross runner up - Brett Bishop and Neil Paine with 71
Nett Winners - Jack and Corby Kliendienst with 66 (winners by countback)
Nett runner up - Tyson and Peter Burey with 66
Nearest the pins were 7th - Terry Mulligan, 10th - Corby Kliendienst and 18th - Harrison Dowden. Longest Drive - Brett Bishop
Junior Winners were Noah Brennan and Liam Hutton. Encouragement Award to Zach Kelleher and James McLean
An enjoyable day was had by all and we will try and organise a few more of these days for everyone to join in.
It shows how well respected the Lennon family are with the numbers that turned out.
The Lennon family raised an extra $490 for the day and kindly donated this to Can Assist which is a great organisation for our town so thank you to all the family.
This weekend will be an Irish Foursomes competition in conjunction with the 2nd round of the Shire Cup.
There is also two weeks left to play the second round of Matchplay, so please check the draw at the club and organise your matches.
The following weekend is the Men’s Pennants to be played at Emmaville so please let Mick Jackson or Steve Wilson know if you are available.
HAPPY GOLFING S.K.
