Nearest the pins were 7th and 18th both went to Ian Taylor while the 18th went to Scott Mendes.
The nett winners were:
C Grade Craig Zirkler (one of our visitors who used to be a regular and was shocked to see that Zirkler’s Grove has now transformed into Zirkler’s Forest).
B Grade Bailey Wilson narrowly missing out on the Gross prize by 1 shot.
A Grade Ian Taylor who is becoming Mr Reliable on the Golf Course.
The major winners for the day were:
C Grade New Recruit Lachie Brazier has been playing socially for a while and now competing, great result.
B Grade Harrison Dowden another new recruit who is beginning to play regularly and great fun to have a round with.
Our Club Champion for 2026 is Darrin Towells, who has been Mr Consistent of late and is always up the top when the whips are cracking.
Congratulations to all our winners and to everyone that competed for the day.
We do apologise to our local players and visitors that it was such short notice and we promise as a club that we should and will be better with our schedule and advertising for our events.
Our biggest thanks goes to our major sponsors for the day ELDERS of Guyra. Elders have been a mainstay for one of our biggest events and there continued support is greatly appreciated.
A special thanks to Sarah and Mark for their help with prizes and sponsorship coordination, without you days like this would not be available.
Also a big thank you to the Guyra Bowling Club for their support and to Sammy’s Bistro for remaining open for the Afternoon once rounds were completed.
This weekend will be a Canadian  Foursomes event. This competition is a lot of fun so grab a partner and come along kicking off at 10.30 am Sunday. Open to men and women with or without handicap it promises to be a great day. Hope to see you there.
