Guyra CWA Evening Branch Vice President Anne Starr and Secretary Sarah Gwilym were pleased to be able to present the Guyra Neighbourhood Centre with $1500 in IGA vouchers this week.
The vouchers will be used by the Centre to purchase food, toiletries and other grocery items for the community pantry.
The CWA of NSW was established 101 years ago to advocate for better conditions for families in rural and regional areas and their work is still relevant today.
Centre manager Sarah Hunt and Chair Madan Narayan were very grateful for the support of CWA and said that these vouchers have come at a very important time in the lead up to Christmas.
There are a lot of families in the Guyra area who are doing it tough at the moment and through the work of CWA and the Neighbourhood Centre, Christmas will be a little bit brighter this year.
