The Glenavon Angus Stud’s 36th Annual Sale on Monday August 3rd saw a full clearance of all 78 Bulls offered for an average of $7,673. Bulls sold to a wide area including buyers from Queensland, Victoria and across NSW.
Stud owners Prue and Richard Post were thrilled with the outcome of the sale and particularly pleased with support from the local area, with 40% of bulls sold to first time buyers. Heifer Bulls were in high demand, including the sale topper Lot 4, Glenavon P36, a Wattletop Franklin G188 son that sold to the Godlee Family of Goondiwindi.
“It was the local support of the Guyra and surrounding area that really drove the sale and pleased us the most,” Richard said. “We are already planning for bigger sale next year and expect to be back to offering around 120 bulls including yearlings in 2021.
“A most sincere thankyou to the Guyra community for their support, and also the local Elders Team of Guyra for their handling of the sale.”
