Vinnies need you

05th Mar 2024

Are you compassionate, caring and love being part of a team? Do you have any specific skills to care? Can Vou spend or 2 or 3 hours a week to help those in need? Vinnies needs vou.
You can make a difference the lives of others in your community, and this will certainly have profound effect on your own life. Volunteering with Vinnies as a member who meets and assists those in need or as a volunteer in our shop to sort or serve may just be for you. Come and have a chat with us.
St Vincent De Paul in Guyra is having an obligation-free information session and morning tea for interested volunteers on the 11th March at the Neighbourhood Centre in Bradley St at 10am. Come along, meet the team and find out more about what we do or phone Sue on 0490 670 605.
We are hoping to give members of the community the opportunity to serve others in our community who are struggling with poverty and isolation. This takes the form of providing material assistance to members of our community in need in the form of food vouchers, food hampers, support with bills, no interest loans and drought assistance.
Volunteers may also visit isolated members of our community to provide relationship, support and connection. We would love the opportunity to discuss what this collaboration would entail.
