Community Spirit Shines at CPP Event in Guyra

30th Sep 2025

The Guyra community came together to celebrate Regional Australia Banks Community Partnership Program (CPP) last week. The evening highlighted the strength of local organisations, the generosity of Regional Australia Bank, and the commitment of community groups making a difference every day.
Regional Australia Bank CEO David Heine, speaking on behalf of the program, set the tone for the night.
“There’s a heap of regional Australia make staff members here tonight because this is one of the best of the CPP events going around the network,” he said.
“This is an amazing town and amazing community, and an important part of who we are.”
He reminded the audience of the true purpose of the CPP:
“Our job is to find the good that money can do and that is what the CPP is all about. Tonight isn’t about money… more importantly, it’s a celebration of what this community is doing.”
Touching on the proposed merger with Summerland Bank, Mr Heine reassured attendees that no branches will close and no staff will be lost.
“Together we can thrive and compete as an alternative to the major banks. Together, we can protect and grow face-to-face banking services in our towns.”
He left the audience with a challenge:
“If you think our community partnership program is proof that we can find the good that money can do, then let’s commit to growing this thing together.”
Regional Australia Bank’s Guyra team members Kayla Hutton and Alysha Clark proudly announced the contribution of $69,054.07 back to the Guyra community this year.
“We are very happy and proud to announce how much Regional Australia Bank are giving back to the Guyra community, and we encourage community members to learn more about supporting their local groups,” they said.
“If anyone would like more information for their family, friends or community members on how to grow their donation back to their group, please call into our branch, send us an email, or have a chat to any of our staff.”
The funds distributed will help fuel vital projects, events, and services across Guyra – ensuring that the CPP continues to be a source of pride and inspiration.
