It’s Not Just You: Community conversation to tackle Perimenopause and Menopause

10th Feb 2026

Women across the New England are invited to a timely and important community event that aims to break the silence around perimenopause and menopause and provide practical, evidence-based support.
Proudly hosted by the CWA Guyra Evening Branch, “It’s Not Just You” is a free, multidisciplinary information day to be held on Sunday, 8 March 2026, from 9.00am to 3.00pm at the Gilbert White Memorial Hall, Guyra.
Perimenopause and menopause can be confusing and isolating experiences for many women, with symptoms often misunderstood or dismissed. This event brings together a diverse panel of experienced health professionals to offer clear information, professional insight and reassurance that women are not alone in navigating this stage of life.
Guest speakers include Dr Mandana Arshi (GP), Chris Connor (Community Nurse), Jenni Jackson (Pharmacist), Marni Hietbrink (Psychologist), Ellen Adams (Exercise Physiologist), Brianna Short (Physiotherapist) and Associate Professor Gal Winter (Registered Nutritionist). Together, they will explore the physical, emotional and lifestyle aspects of perimenopause and menopause, with a strong focus on practical strategies women can apply in their everyday lives.
The day will also feature a resource fair, offering free information and brochures, along with opportunities to ask questions and connect with local services. Morning tea and lunch will be provided, creating a relaxed and welcoming environment for conversation and connection.
This free event is open to women of all ages, as well as partners, family members and anyone wanting to better understand menopause and support those experiencing it.
Registration is essential and can be completed via Stickytickets.
