Guyra shooters excel at Nationals

Charlie Ward won three gold, one silver and a bronze medal at the National Skeet titles

Shooters from Guyra have showcased their talent with multiple successes over recent weeks.
A team from Guyra Gun Club travelled to Wagga Wagga to compete the Australian Clay Target Association's Down the Line (DTL) Championships.
Ben Rumbel, Dustin Hone, Jeff Richardson and Brad Henshall all made the open Australian Macintosh team, while Dave Edmonds made the Super Vets team.
Brad and Dustin made the open 5 man Shoulder to Shoulder team and Dave made the Super Vets team. They will be heading to England, where they will shoot for Australia in the world DTL Championships later this year.
In ladies events, Tammy Henshall shot for NSW ladies, and Charlie Ward shot for NSW juniors.
Brad Henshall became the 2024 National Champion of Champions winner and 17 year old Dustin Hone won the Open Macintosh High gun and National Junior High gun. Ben Rumbel made the all Australian top ten from the nationals out of 460 shooters.
Charlie Ward also competed at the National Skeet Carnival the previous week, winning three gold, one silver and 1 bronze medal.
She is now the Australian National Ladies Champion (12 guage) for 2024 and has been selected to shoot in the Australian Junior Team.
