New Rotary Wheel takes Pride of Place

The Rotary Club of Guyra is in possession of a new decorative Rotary Wheel thanks to local volunteer, Paul Hinkley.
A local welder and fabricator, Paul recently completed a 1.2-metre Rotary Wheel, carefully constructed from different metals and shaped to replicate the internationally recognised Rotary symbol.
The wheel has been powder-coated in Rotary’s traditional royal blue and gold colours, with LED lighting added to illuminate the finished piece.
Paul said volunteering was an important part of life in a small community and he was proud to contribute to the refurbishment of the Rotary Hall. He said the old Scout Hall had been looking run down and unloved, but he was impressed with the transformation undertaken by Rotary.
Rotary Club of Guyra President Wendy Mulligan said the impressive wheel is now proudly displayed in the newly refurbished hall, which was previously the local Scout Hall.
“The members of the Rotary Club are very proud of our new wheel and would like to thank Paul for his amazing construction of this masterpiece,” Wendy said.
Paul was also assisted by Jenni Hinkley and Peter Mulligan during the installation of the wheel.
The Rotary Club of Guyra will open the hall to the community during its Annual Book Fair, which will be held as part of the Trout Festival in October.
Wendy welcomes the community to visit the Rotary Hall, admire Paul’s new Rotary Wheel and browse the wide selection of books available for sale.
