Local and long-time volunteer with Share the Dignity, Anne Lane, has once again helped make a meaningful impact in the Guyra community, recently delivering donations from the March Dignity Drive to the Local Guyra Aboriginal Land Council (GALC).
GALC CEO Pauline Ale gratefully received the contributions, highlighting that the donations are not just supporting the local community of the Land Council but are also being shared with the Guyra Food Pantry, helping local residents in need.
Pauline said the support from Share the Dignity has been a consistent and valued resource over many years - not only during the twice-annual Dignity Drives, but also through the “It’s in the Bag” campaign held each November, just in time for Christmas.
Share the Dignity is a national women’s charity dedicated to ensuring those experiencing hardship have access to essential sanitary products. The organisation supports women, girls, and anyone who menstruates who may be facing homelessness, domestic violence, or financial difficulty.
At its core, the charity aims to restore dignity during challenging times, recognising that access to basic hygiene products should never be an added burden for those already struggling.
“The continued generosity of the Guyra community plays a vital role in making this possible,” Anne said.
“A heartfelt thank you goes to everyone who contributed - your generosity makes a real difference in our community!”
