Heather Starr honoured with CWA Life Membership

Congratulations to Mrs Heather Starr, who has been awarded Life Membership of the CWA NSW Guyra Branch in recognition of 51 years of dedicated service.
Heather continues to be an active member of the Country Women’s Association and has contributed extensively at Branch, Group and State levels throughout her membership.
Heather was joined by family members and fellow CWA members at the CWA Guyra Branch’s August meeting, where Northern Tablelands Group President and State Executive Committee Member Eileen Mitchell was also present.
Heather was presented with her Life Membership certificate and badge by Mrs Dorothy Every, who also outlined Heather’s many achievements and contributions to the CWA over her 51 years of service.
Heather joined the Guyra Branch of the NSW Country Women’s Association in March 1975. She became Guyra C W A Branch Secretary in October 1975 and in her 51 years of Membership she has held the position of Branch President or Branch Secretary for a total of 38 years. Heather has been a Branch Councillor to Group and Branch Delegate to State Conference a number of times.
Heather has held Northern Tablelands Group Office Bearers positions including Group President, Group Secretary, two terms, Group Vice President, Group Cookery Officer and Group Ag and Environment Officer.
Heather obtained her Land Cookery Judges Badge in 1988 and has judged the Land Cookery State Finals at Conference a total of twelve times.
The Guyra Branch congratulated Heather on the well-deserved recognition of her commitment and contribution to the organisation and the wider community.
