Former NSW Farmers President and Guyra grazier James Jackson has been recognised for his outstanding contribution to agriculture at the 2026 NSW Farmers Annual Conference.
He was awarded Life Membership of NSW Farmers, one of the organisation’s highest honours, in recognition of his exceptional dedication and years of service to the farming community at both a state and national level.
James has been an active member of the association for nearly 30 years and served two consecutive two-year terms as president, holding office from July 2018 until July 2022.
The award was presented by incoming NSW Farmers President Rebecca Reardon, acknowledging his leadership during his time as President and his ongoing commitment to supporting farmers and strengthening the agricultural sector.
Also recognised at the conference was Deniliquin’s Louise Burge, who received the Medal of Honour for her longstanding service to NSW Farmers.
