Appeal for information after firearm stolen

Police are appealing for public assistance after a firearm was stolen from a property at Guyra on the weekend.
On Sunday November 7, officers from New England Police District commenced an investigation after being notified that a firearm was stolen from a property on Robinson’s Lane, Guyra.
Inquiries suggest an unknown person entered the property between 1pm on Saturday November 6 and 8.30am on Sunday November 7.
A rifle and ammunition are believed to have been stolen. A crime scene was established and an investigation into the incident is underway.
Police encourage firearm owners to regularly check their firearms and ensure compliance with the Firearm Legislation:
