The ladies of Guyra CWA Evening Branch have done it again. For the fourth year they are hosting the annual Art Show during the Lamb and Potato Festival, curating artworks from local creators and those from further afield.
The show opened on Friday, 19th January with an evening of pleasant companionship and conversation, a selection of succulent morsels to temp the tastebuds (catered by the amazing ladies of the Evening Branch) and immersion in the artistic ambiance of the display.
Mrs Aileen Macdonald OAM MLC officially opened the exhibition with kind words about our community and the support the CWA offers to all.
She particularly acknowledged the late Brian Irving, whose artwork has always been part of this annual exhibition. Brian was a local artist and blessed us with his gentle soul and artworks that speak of connection and community.
Come in and see the wonderful works on display – and for sale – at the GALA Centre on Bradley Street, Guyra. The Art Show is open from 10am to 4pm daily until (and including) Sunday 28th January.
