Lions mystery outing a hit with seniors

10th Mar 2020

The Lions Club of Guyra had their annual Senior Citizens mystery outing on Sunday, March 8th. Forty seniors, Lions members, their wives, and partners travelled to Tingha stopping first at the Wing Hing Long Museum. They enjoyed morning tea with scones jam and cream supplied by the museum volunteers and had a good look at the memorabilia displayed in the old store.
They then moved on to the National Transport Museum at Inverell, where BBQ lunch was provided. Everyone enjoyed a good look around at the old Vehicles and all that is on display. A great display of private and museum pieces. By all accounts from the Senior citizens aboard had an enjoyable day out.
The Lions Club of Guyra would like to thank Glen and Natalie of Gavne Enterprises for supplying the bus and Glen for being our driver for the day. Thanks also to Wayne Mendes from the Guyra VRA for being our first aider, thankfully his services were not needed. Once again a big thank you to all that participated on the day.
