Three casuals and myself.
What services do you offer?
Home-made meals, sandwiches, wraps, breakfasts all day. Great coffee and teas, milkshakes, smoothies.
Home cooked biscuits, slices and cakes; half are gluten free.
What is the best/worst thing about owning your own
business?
Best thing: talking to our regular customers.
Worst: long days, lots of work.
How have things changed since you started?
It’s now a lot busier with more regular clientele.
What effects have challenges such as drought, bushfires and coronavirus had for your business?
We never really saw too much difference as I decided to trade through the first coronavirus wave.
How do you spread the word about your business to attract customers/visitors?
We operate solely on word of mouth which has increased our regular customer base from surrounding towns.
Are there any interesting or amusing things that have happened?
Something interesting and amusing happens every day with our regular customers.
Do you get good feedback from your customers?
Yes, excellent otherwise they wouldn’t come back.
Any advice for people starting out in business?
Hang in there, try to work yourself as much as possible. Price a service that your
customers enjoy.
