Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night performances in July

10th Jun 2025

The Armidale Drama and Musical Society (ADMS) is set to bring the timeless magic of William Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night to life at the TAS Hoskins Centre from July 4th to 12th. A Gala black-tie opening night will kick off the production on Friday, July 4th, with tickets including a complimentary drink and hors d’oeuvres.
This vibrant and fast-paced adaptation of Twelfth Night promises to have audiences laughing and crying as it delves into themes of gender, sexuality, passion, desire, and identity.
Set on the idyllic island of Illyria, the story follows Viola, shipwrecked and alone, who disguises herself as a male servant to survive. Her ruse triggers a tangled web of unrequited love and mistaken identities, leading to a delightfully chaotic love triangle. Along the way, audiences will meet a host of colorful characters—fools, puritans, drunks, and knights—all entangled in their own quests for power and affection.
The Gala Opening Night on July 4th will be a glamorous evening, with a black-tie dress code and an opportunity for guests to enjoy refreshments as they celebrate the premiere.
Please note the production contains adult themes, sexual references, and mild violence, and is recommended for mature audiences.
Tickets are now available through the ADMS website at adms.org.au.
