The first course held at the New England Community College (NECC) in Guyra for 2026 was a Kids Sewing workshop on January 6th and 7th.
The enthusiastic group of children learned how to make their own bags using donated fabric, while developing valuable skills including operating a sewing machine and using an overlocker.
The students showed great eagerness to learn and a strong interest in sewing. A special thank you goes to Tim Bell for generously giving his time to assist in the classroom, his help was very much appreciated.
Robin Godlonton oversaw the class and said it was wonderful to see such a keen group, wanting to learn to sew.
