Neighbourhood Centre AGM a chance to have a voice

The Community Garden is an important part of the Neighbourhood Centre’s work - volunteers are always welcome
20th Oct 2026

The Guyra Neighbourhood Centre is inviting members to come together for its 2026 Annual General Meeting and reflect on the important role the organisation plays in supporting local residents.
More than just a place to access services, the Guyra Neighbourhood Centre (GNC) is a welcoming hub where people can connect with others, seek practical assistance and find support when they need it.
Its weekly community lunch offers a chance to enjoy a home-cooked meal, catch up with familiar faces and make new connections, while food assistance and frozen meals continue to provide valuable help for individuals and families experiencing financial pressure.
The GNC Community Garden is another important part of the Centre’s work, bringing people together to grow fresh produce, share gardening knowledge and build friendships.
Popular Produce Swap and Sell events encourage residents to exchange, buy and sell surplus produce, plants, flowers, seedlings and handmade items, with the added bonus of a cuppa and a chat.
The Centre also provides a local point of contact for Services Australia and Centrelink enquiries, room bookings and connections to housing, alcohol and other drug (AOD) support, and employment services.
These services are supported by the efforts of volunteers, community members and local partnerships, helping GNC remain an accessible and welcoming place for people from all walks of life.
The AGM will provide members with an opportunity to hear more about the Centre’s ongoing activities and its contribution to the Guyra community. Community members interested in supporting the organisation’s work are also encouraged to enquire about membership, which offers an opportunity to stay informed, become involved and have a voice in the Centre’s future.
The meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at 6pm at the Guyra Neighbourhood Centre, 160 Bradley Street, Guyra. All members are welcome, and RSVPs are encouraged to assist with arrangements.
For further information, to RSVP or to enquire about membership, contact GNC on 02 6779 1635 or 0461 266 523, or email manager@guyranc.org.au.
