Strong results at working dog auction

All 20 dogs offered at the 2025 Top of the Range Working Dog Auction were successfully sold, marking another standout year for the event.
The top price of the day went to Lot 4, Yellowstone Demi, who fetched an impressive $12,400. The vendor, Dylan Sutton, sold the dog to a buyer from Finley, NSW. The second-highest price was achieved by Lot 20, Baz, offered by the Dandylea Partnership, who sold for $8,800 and will remain in the local area.
The auction recorded an average sale price of $5,170, reflecting strong demand and ongoing confidence in quality working dogs. A total of 10 dogs were sold online via AuctionsPlus, with 600 online bids placed throughout the event. The catalogue drew widespread attention, receiving over 10,000 views, and there were 18 registered bidders onsite.
Dogs sold are now heading to new homes across New South Wales and into Southern Queensland, highlighting the auction’s broad reach. Special thanks were given to Southern Dog Transport for ensuring the smooth and safe delivery of the dogs to their new owners.
Organisers extended a heartfelt thank you to everyone involved - vendors, buyers, under-bidders, livestock providers, sponsors, announcers, and caterers - for their contributions to another successful auction.
