The family of the late Jim Betts wish to thank the Guyra community for their overwhelming support and compassion following his recent passing. Jim passed away on April 27th, 2025 at the age of 81 years.
Words cannot express how deeply touched we were to see the large turnout for his funeral, and to receive so many phone calls, visits, floral tributes, food and offers of support.
Jim was a true champion of Guyra who was involved in many organisations and was always willing to lend a hand. He will be remembered for his involvement in Apex, Lions, Veterans’ Golf and Meals on Wheels, as well as being someone who was always willing to put his hand up when there was a job to be done.
Thank you to Dr Jey and all the staff at the Guyra MPS who cared for Jim during his final days. Our heartfelt gratitude to everyone for the care given to our family during this sad time.
Jim was a much loved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and a true gentleman who will be missed by all.
To all those who have been in touch since Jim’s passing, please accept as our sincere and heartfelt thanks. We are truly blessed to be part of this great community.
