Donation received by the Rotary Club of Guyra

21st Apr 2026

The Rotary Club of Guyra has received a very generous donation of a container load of used office furnishing and equipment.
Local Armidale accountant, Ian Watson was packing up his office in Armidale and had surplus furnishings. Ian’s donation was gratefully received, and the Rotary Club of Guyra would like to thank him for his very kind donation.
Ian said he was really glad our local community can benefit from the furniture donation.
A container holds a lot of furniture, so the club extended their good fortune to the Guyra Show Society who plan to increase their office area at the local showground.
President Callan Schaefer, Jarrod Schaefer and his daughters joined Peter and Wendy Mulligan and their grandson Liam Walsh in bringing the furniture from Armidale to Guyra’s newly renovated Guyra Scout Hall.
Rotary extends thanks to Callan, Jarrod, the girls, Peter and Liam for their great efforts in loading and unloading the furniture.
The furniture is being organised in the hall before being shared with the Show Society.
By local clubs working together the community can benefit from donations such as this one, however without the extremely generous donation from local professionals like Ian Watson, clubs like the Rotary Club of Guyra and the Guyra Show Society would not be able to function autonomously while providing services back to the community.
