Outstanding Eisteddfod success for local dancers

It has been a busy and rewarding term for Australian Dance Enterprises (ADE), with local Guyra dancers Sophie Roberts, Clee Beechey and Mackenna Cleaver achieving excellent results at both the Inverell and New England Dance Eisteddfods.
The talented dancers competed in a range of solo, duo and group performances alongside competitors from across New South Wales and Queensland, showcasing their dedication, passion and hard work.
Sophie Roberts enjoyed outstanding success at the New England Dance Eisteddfod, placing second in the Open Jazz Solo section. She also achieved 1st and 3rd place in Open Own Choreography Duos with partners Luka Floros and Marisa Suluma, and was awarded 1st place in the Open Jazz Duo with Luka Floros.
Clee Beechey delivered a series of impressive performances at the New England Dance Eisteddfod, receiving 1st place in Jazz Solo (14 Years and Under) and Highly Commended in Contemporary Solo (14 Years and Under). She also achieved 3rd place in Jazz Duo (14 Years and Under) with Bella Hayes and 3rd place in Own Choreography Duo (14 Years and Under) with Grace Burton. Clee also performed beautifully in her Own Choreography Solo and Lyrical Solo events.
Mackenna Cleaver continued her strong performance season with excellent results at both eisteddfods. At the New England Dance Eisteddfod, she received Highly Commended awards in both Hip Hop Solo (10 Years and Under) and Lyrical Solo (10 Years and Under). Together with partner Ivy Lane, she achieved 1st place in Lyrical Duo (10 Years and Under) and 3rd place in Jazz Duo (10 Years and Under). At the Inverell Eisteddfod, Mackenna was awarded Highly Commended in Hip Hop Solo (10 Years and Under) and Jazz Duo with Ivy Lane (10 Years and Under).
Australian Dance Enterprises congratulates all students on their achievements and thanks the families and teachers who continue to support the dancers throughout the year.
ADE students are now eagerly preparing for the Mid-Year Dance Display and Disco, to be held on Friday, July 24th.
Dance classes in Guyra are held every Thursday during the school term at the Guyra Central Gymnasium and cater for students aged 2 to 13 years. New students are always welcome, and Active and Creative Kids Vouchers are accepted.
