Bidding brisk at lamb sale

12th Jul 2022

More than $7000 was raised at the Guyra Sheep and Lamb sale last week on behalf of Tony and Liz Looker. The couple are preparing to take part in the Drover’s Run 4WD Outback Adventure fundraising for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service.
They would like to pass on their thanks and appreciation to all Agents, Buyers, Vendors and Livestock Transport Operators, for their generous contributions. Special thanks to Wayne Jenkyn from Elders for his support.
A total of $7369 was raised on the day through lamb sales and associated donations. All proceeds will go to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service.
One lamb offered for sale at the fundraiser was sold and re-donated to be offered again 9 times, for a combined sale total of $3300.
There is still an opportunity to support this great cause, with an auction of donated items being held at the Royal Hotel on Friday July 15th starting at 7pm. They will also be drawing the winner of the wood raffle on the night.
This will be the 7th Drover’s Run 4WD Outback Adventure fundraising for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service. It starts on Friday 5th August, 2022 at Menindee, NSW and over the next 16 days will cover around 5,500kms through South Australia, into the Territory and Central Australia, and then east into Queensland before arriving back in Tamworth on Sunday 21st August.
