How to get involved in the 2027 Guyra Show!

20th Oct 2026

From the pavilion to the show ring, there are plenty of ways to be part of the action at the Guyra Show – and the Guyra Show Society is inviting the community to discover what’s on offer at a special information evening this month.
Whether you’re a seasoned exhibitor, a young woman considering the Young Woman Competition, a livestock enthusiast or someone keen to lend a hand behind the scenes, the evening is a chance to find out how you can get involved in one of Guyra’s much-loved annual events.
The information evening will be held at the Guyra Bowling Club on Wednesday, October 28, from 6.30pm, with light refreshments and plenty of opportunities to ask questions.
With the 2027 Guyra Show set for Friday, February 19, and Saturday, February 20, preparations are already underway, and the Society is keen to welcome new faces, fresh ideas and more community participation.
There’s something for everyone, with more than 25 sections to explore, including cattle, prime lambs, wool, shearing, wood chop, horses, cooking, jams and preserves, photography, fine arts, needlework, crafts, school art and LEGO.
The evening will cover the ins and outs of entering exhibits, membership options, entry fees and important deadlines, helping newcomers understand how to take that first step towards showing off their talents.
Aspiring entrants can also learn more about the Guyra Show Society Young Woman Competition, including what judges look for and the pathway to the Sydney Royal Easter Show state final in 2027.
For livestock producers, the Prime Lamb Show and Sale session will look back at the 2026 results and outline proposed plans and arrangements for 2027.
Membership is another way to support the show, with full or family memberships costing $40, single memberships $30 and youth memberships $10. Members enjoy free admission to the show on both days, along with reduced entry fees in some sections.
Every section relies on volunteers, and the Society is keen to hear from people interested in becoming stewards, helping on show days or contributing their ideas.
The information evening is a great opportunity to meet Society representatives, learn something new and discover how even a small contribution can help keep the Guyra Show thriving for future generations.
Everyone is welcome, including exhibitors, volunteers, families and anyone curious about what goes on behind the scenes. Light refreshments will be available from 6.30pm, with the evening running until approximately 7.30pm.
RSVPs are requested by Friday, October 23, by emailing admin@guyrashow.guyra.net or contacting the GALA Centre at 136 Bradley Street, Guyra, on 02 6779 2132.
The countdown to the 2027 Guyra Show is on – now is the perfect time to get involved!
