Tour de Rocks - on the road again

06th Nov 2019

Members of the Guyra Cycling Community and other bike enthusiasts are again committed to assisting and caring for our community by raising awareness about health and fitness and finding a cure for cancer.
Bike riders from all over the New England, the Mid-north Coast and further afield are in training for the 2020 instalment of Tour de Rocks. The ride will commence in Armidale on April 2nd and finish at South West Rocks on April 4th.
Guyra will again be entering a team and training is underway led by Ken Porter. More riders would be welcome to join the team and we are always looking for people to take on the support roles. Please contact Pip White 0488794282 or visit www.tourderocks.com.au
“Tour de Rocks” is established as a charitable organization with three objectives; cancer awareness, prevention and research. Since 2012 around $1.4 million has been raised with half of that going to cancer research projects and the rest is distributed to many other local cancer programs. For more detail visit the website.
A great fundraiser night for this worthy cause is being held on November 22nd at Rafters restaurant in Guyra. The night will feature a Music Trivia contest for the coveted Tour de Rocks Quiz trophy. It will be hosted by Ian Russell and there will be a delightful Rafters meal prepared by Wan Wan and team.
You will be entertained by live music with a chance appearance by some special performers! In keeping with British Pop theme a Best Dressed Table award will go to the team with the most original outfits.
Bookings are essential: To secure your seat or book a table call 0488 794 282.
All proceeds made on this night go to Tour de Rocks, and further contributions are welcome onlne at https://tourderocks2020.gofundraise.com.au/page/GuyraCycling0
