Costa supports local community organisations

28th Apr 2026

Costa is pleased to announce the recipients of our 2026 Well Grown Community Grants Program, which aims to support local initiatives and projects that enhance the wellbeing and development of our region.
A total of five organisations including community and sporting groups and schools in the Armidale and Guyra region will receive funding through the Grants Program.
State Manager of the Costa glasshouses, Brett Ryan, said the grants program, which is now in its fourth year, continued to attract a large number of applications.
Through the program funding is provided across the five categories of: sporting event/activity; community event; school project/initiative; environmental initiative/activity; and a community organisation or project aimed at supporting disadvantaged youth and/or Indigenous youth projects.
“We are proud to be supporting our local community through this program. We were delighted to see so many strong applications from groups working hard to make a difference across the region, and it certainly made the final selections a challenge,” Mr Ryan said.
“To make sure the process was fair and transparent for every applicant, we engaged an independent assessor to review submissions against the program criteria. We’re proud to partner with a diverse range of local organisations and schools to help deliver tangible benefits for people across our community,” Mr Ryan said.
“I’d like to thank every organisation that took the time to apply. We wish all groups every success with their activities, and we look forward to sharing updates on the progress and community impact of these projects throughout the year,” Mr Ryan said.
The recipients for 2026 are:
• Sporting event/activity: Guyra Junior Rugby League.
• Community event: Scouts Association of Australia (NSW) Branch 2nd Armidale Scouts.
• Community Project: New England Regional Art Museum.
• School project/initiative: Guyra Central School.
