Help make a colourful and fun mural for Guyra

An example from another group mural project.
03rd Feb 2026

GuyrARTists are running a fun community art activity at the upcoming Guyra Show. The group hopes every local will add “their bit” to create a permanent and very unique giant art work representing the spirit of Guyra.
There is no restriction to joining in and no age limit. No experience is necessary, just a willingness to have fun and enjoy the experience. It’s totally free to join in.
The activity is possible through a micro grant from Arts North West and from a donation and prize from James at the Poetry Hall of Fame for a painting with an associated poem. Thanks to both organizations.
The painting activity will take place at the Show on Friday 20th and Saturday 21st with each participant receiving their own 20cm x 25cm canvas panel to create an individual artwork. The theme is loosely around the idea of Guyra’s distinct four seasons but all ideas are welcome. You can come prepared with an idea or just let your creativity flow on the day. All paint and equipment will be supplied as well as protective gear.
We are looking forward to a very colourful and vibrant representation of Guyra. The mural will be mounted for public display in Guyra.
GuyrARTists will also have a small exhibition of their art and craft for sale.
