Guyra Show hosts Zone Junior Judging

Ten junior judges were selected to compete at the Sydney Royal Easter show
20th Feb 2024

The organisers of the Zone junior judging would like to thank everyone that gave their time to run such a successful event in conjunction with the Guyra Show.
We had 40 participants in paraders on Friday with 10 of them qualifying for F002 paraders at Sydney. On Sunday we had the other six events.
A big thank you to Wayne Carter and wife Lyn who brought Grain samples and travelled from Gunnedah to be over judge with Bob Williamson as steward. Ben &Leanne Rumbel (Supple Herefords) and Tim & Briony Light (Lagoona Red Polls) for supplying the cattle and Anne Starr as overjudge.
Angus Dawson (Arakoon Merinos) and Sharpe family (Amelie Poll Dorsets) for supplying the sheep and Angus being overjudge. Cameron Peardon and Charlie White for supplying Merino fleeces, Jim Brown as overjudge with help of Todd Clark. Kelso Looker as our fruit and Veg overjudge.
Craig Chapman and Chad Williamson did an excellent job of coordinating this event with time and patience from Dorothy and Leonie at GALA and their extra employee for the week leading up to the Show weekend.
A special mention to our scoring ladies Jen Chapman and Marg Jones (Armitage & Buckley) who did a fantastic job. Also the cattle committee who made sure no one went hungry. We had many other helpers and appreciate the time they gave us to make this event happen. This is the first time Guyra Show Society has hosted the Zone for many years. A big thanks to Briony, Tim and Kelso for your never ending support.
