Polocrosse digs deep for Sammy

18th Sep 2019

Despite the dry conditions and the Guyra Polocrosse Club not being able to host a polocrosse carnival this year, members of the club did not let this affect their fundraising efforts for 2019. Instead they have thrown their support behind a local family who are going through a difficult time.
Three-year-old Sam Hope has been undergoing treatment for over 12 months for Leukaemia and the Polocrosse Club held a raffle to raise money for Sam and his family. The tickets, which were sold at tournaments attended by players and online, raised $1535.
The Polocrosse Club would like to acknowledge and thank their very generous sponsors for their support with the raffle which was drawn at the Girl Talk Clinic being held at Armidale on September 1st and all winners have been notified.
