CWA gather in Guyra for Group judging

06th May 2025

CWA Guyra Evening Branch had the honour of hosting the CWA NSW Northern Tablelands Group meeting, Group level Handicraft judging and Group level Land Cookery judging on Saturday March 29th.
The Northern Tablelands Group consists of seven branches and just over 150 members from Guyra, Armidale, Deer Vale, Kellys Plains-Dangarsleigh, Glen Innes and Tenterfield.
Despite the weather the Gilbert White Memorial Hall at the Guyra Showground transformed into the ideal space for such an event.
Over 60 attendees enjoyed a yummy selection of morning tea and a delicious lunch - all cooked by our clever members. Our Handicraft officer Cindy stewarded the handicrafts, and our Land Cookery officer Jacqueline stewarded the Land Cookery judging and no doubt both ladies got a lot of tips, hints and experience out of the day.
From sign in table, raffles, delegates, kitchen helpers, set up and pack down our branch, as always had a fabulous day meeting new friends and catching up with old. Recipes were swapped, congratulations given to those entries heading to CWA NSW State Conference in May at Wagga Wagga and learning more about the ins and outs of CWA events made this day a great one for our branch.
A big thank you to Armidale Regional Council for giving us the opportunity to showcase our beautiful town and facilities, our CWA friends far and wide, those who travelled and our group committee, judges and stewards.
