Frock Up for a fun filled night

13th Oct 2026

CWA Guyra Evening Branch is inviting the community to put on a frock, gather some friends, and enjoy a fun-filled evening in support of ovarian cancer research.
The annual Frocktober fundraiser will be held at the Royal Hotel Guyra on Friday, October 16th, raising funds for the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation (OCRF). Every dollar raised on the night will be donated directly to support vital research into ovarian cancer.
The event promises plenty of entertainment, with meat raffles from 7pm, Jacko’s Jukebox providing music from 7.30pm, and a range of lucky door prizes up for grabs throughout the evening.
Organisers are encouraging locals to embrace the Frocktober spirit by wearing a frock, although it is entirely optional. “Frocks are optional, fun is not!” is the theme for the evening, which is designed to bring the community together while supporting an important cause.
Ovarian cancer remains one of the most challenging cancers to detect and treat, and funds raised through initiatives such as Frocktober help support research aimed at improving early detection, treatment options and survival rates.
The CWA Guyra Evening Branch hopes to see a strong community turnout for what promises to be a relaxed and enjoyable night of fundraising.
Those wishing to attend are encouraged to book a table with family and friends by contacting the Royal Hotel Guyra on 6779 1005.
Whether you arrive in your favourite frock, a smart shirt, or your everyday clothes, everyone is welcome to come along, enjoy the entertainment, and help make a difference in the fight against ovarian cancer.
Frocks are optional. Supporting a great cause is not.
